We have received reports that the Home Office have been calling individuals to offer ‘voluntary departure’ to Rwanda and offering money. If you or someone you know has received a call, we recommend:

  1. Contacting your legal representative if you have one
  2. Do NOT respond until you have legal advice.
  3. Ask for the Home Office to provide the request to you in writing
  4. Seek legal representation. If you don’t have a legal representative and live in North West England, call GMIAU’s advice line:
