Hours: 35 hours per week (over 5 days)
Location: Hybrid role, with two days in the office
Salary: £25,584 – NJC Scale 7
Contract: Permanent
Holiday: 28 days

This role is vital in helping us support individuals and communities affected by immigration control.

The aim of this post is:

  • To provide legal administrative support to the legal team, ensuring efficient processing of cases.
  • To assist with the preparation of court documents, bundles, and submissions to legal portals.
  • To engage with clients in a professional and compassionate manner, ensuring they are heard and supported through their journey.
  • To maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and manage documentation for a smooth legal process.
  • To coordinate appointments, meetings, and activities, ensuring timely delivery of legal support services.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and support the wider operations of GMIAU to meet its goals.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Is confident with computer systems and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Can work independently, manage changing priorities, and adapt to shifting demands.
  • Has a genuine desire to support individuals and communities in need, especially those affected by immigration and asylum issues.
  • Has experience or a personal connection to immigration or asylum (though not essential) and is keen to learn and grow in the role.
