My Retirement
I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I’ve made the decision to retire at the end of the year, and my job is now being advertised.
GMIAU is an incredible organisation that supports and campaigns on behalf of, and with, people whose lives are restricted by the immigration controls placed upon them. The impact of these controls – exclusion, stigma, racism, homelessness, and family separation – is why we exist. The board, staff, and volunteers will continue the work without me, and with your ongoing support.
If you know anyone who might be interested in leading GMIAU through its next chapter, please share the details of the position.
I’m not going anywhere just yet, so everything will continue as normal, with no interruption or loss of focus on the important work we’re here to do.
