Immigration Advice and Representation

Our legal team provides expert advice to people across the North West, guiding them through the immigration and asylum process.

Our legal team specialises in providing expert legal advice on immigration, concentrating on asylum and human rights. We walk with people through the immigration and asylum systems and fight for their rights.

Our lawyers represent clients at every level of the legal system and hold the Home Office to account. Our Public Law team can challenge delays, refusals, and inadequate support, to ensure people can access housing, financial help, and stability.

All our immigration caseworkers and solicitors are accredited by the Law Society and maintain an up to date knowledge of all aspects of immigration and asylum law and practice. GMIAU is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), Registered No: N201000004.

We are extremely busy and have very limited capacity to take on cases. We cannot promise to take on any cases, but we will respond to all requests for help and give advice if we can.

  • Children and young people seeking asylum

  • Children in care with insecure immigration status
