Children & Young People
We work with children and young people across the North West to navigate the immigration and asylum systems. We don’t want to see any children turning 18 without status, unable to pursue their work or study dreams or access the social safety net if things go wrong. And we want to see children secure and safe to stay here.
Unaccompanied children seeking asylum
We represent children and young people who are on their own in the UK: separated from their families and claiming asylum in the North West. Our team of specialist immigration caseworkers are experienced in supporting children through the asylum system and fighting for their rights. This includes taking cases on to appeal where necessary.

Children in local authority care
At least 1 in 10 children in care do not have British citizenship. Often, children may grow up in the UK without realising they are not British or have no legal status at all.
We support children in care through their immigration and citizenship journey. We also work closely with local authorities to make sure children’s services identify and support these children to resolve their status so they can get on with their lives.
We provide training, advice, briefings and resources to local authorities to ensure the children they are looking after have the best possible outcomes, whether in the immigration or asylum systems.

All4One Youth Group
The All4One youth group has been running since 2009 and brings together separated children and young people (aged 15-21) who are seeking safety in the UK.
The group provides fun activities as well as developing confidence and leadership skills. Meeting weekly, we eat together, practice English, and play games.
The group is also a platform for young people to speak out and campaign about issues important to them, learn about their rights and understand the asylum process.

KIND UK Project
We are partnered with Kids in Need of Defence (KIND) UK to provide free legal advice and representation to children in the North of England who need to make applications for British citizenship. This includes children who are living with their families.
